Theory & Design Techniques
Iwas really frustrated with my PhD Supervisor H T Nguyen in his
reluctant to sub mit my Thesis per his inability fully to catch my
progresswith biweekly report meetting due to his buzy teaching job So I
was frustrated and had to leave for a USAstartup job in Aug 1997
My plan was
I 'd submit at a USA univ as all the topic was recommened by him
but every single details was indedently carried out on my own
all the way to the end at the fullest detail
But He submitted 1 month after I left Sept 1997
as seen below

Ironically its content now appear in the book below with 3 authors
He probably was not sure on its correctness with up to 224 Theorems along with Mathematical proof
So he may rely on the 3 other authors verify its correctness before publishing the book
Honestly I really appreciate all of them in their hard work to validate my Thesis
Hopefully One day God bless me with full recovery of my brain and eyes
So I can check the book for the differences and learn my mistakes
May God bless them with relly healthy wealthy life
Honestly my bain and my eyes now now is really fuzzy after my stroke in 2016
So I'm unable to check the difference
But I still believe the main original contribution is the same
and it must be easier to read per my bad English skill
Due to my limit in English language so I chose Mathematic language in the Thesis
To fully understand any Math content Math Symbols must be fully specified
That's why I put Symbol List at start
The Symbol is also put at start of the book
That is the only thing I can notice content in the book

To the best of my knowledge until
Sliding mode Control [SMC]; State-Space Controller of Nonlinear System
was developed like Linear system using its linearized Esimate. Inother
words SMC is a Revolution in Non linear control system where a
State-Space Controller is developed using the real the nonlinear system
itself directly , not its linearized estimate My work in this PhD
Thesis could be seen as an original contribution to SMC in both a
practically theorretically approach with many Examples to illustrate
abstract concents and some practical propsals for design techniques. Happily with my good news
by my PhD supervisor Hung T Nguyen Where he recomended the topic and I
idependently worked out all the way to the end in details
The bottom is my work was worth being published in text book as an
contribution to a new technology as mentiomed in the Report by the
Examiner as an distinct contribution to the field

I was the very first student got such top rank with in that school
of students whose father killed in fight against Communist in Saigon
Republic of Viet Nam RVN Per this achievement and my excellent academic
report with top GPA within the whole school every single year in high school with
full mark on all math/science exam/quiz/test similarly all straight A
in US high school in 1973 I was awarded RVN National
Scholarshipfrom Reblulic of VN at rank 5/50 with 600 USD/monthfrom Rebublic of
Vietnam[RVN Saigon Authority] for OverSea study at any foreign nation
at my choice; per living cost $600/month in 1973 ==> $4000/month in 2022 I chose Germany
but It did not go thru per conflict between Saigon RVN authority and
Vietnamese student in Germany per scandal of RVN President Nguyen Van
Thieu with a Vietnamese Singer KL migrated to Germany from RVN If I
were to choose USA over Germany I 'd have been USA in 1973 not 1997 24
years later in 1997 with 5 years in hard labor in Communist
re-education camp 1981 1985
