HW/SW architect Development
SW Development takes the most resource[time money manpower] in New Product Development HW Development cost both monley and time in new prototype [aka board turn]as fix of the previous one My HW architect is flexible for analog unvertainties in analog circuit with extra parts to cover for minimum board turnnumber of board turn These extraparts will be removedin final ptototype for product release For uncertainties in digital circuit[logic gate] with extra Verilog code in FPGA SW is flexible to slow response due to latency in interrupt 1 millisecond at best
Plain Digital HW[discrete logic gates but not FPGA ] is hast response under millisecond
but not flexible
So I analyze product feature requirements to identify which to be built in FPGA/SW/HW
My HW/FPGA was architect with SW oririented for convenience of SW Dev for quick completion
with upgradeable features and fast response built in FPGA like fast response My product architect was partition into HW/FPGA and SW partition for better debug in development phase and upgrade or maintainance in product phase FPGA is a dedicated processor So I provided its memory map and bare-metal/Linux driver to my SW peer along with HW document with block diagram as a user guide for my HW - HW prototype Schematic
